Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou was born in Beaumont in France's Puy-de-Domme on August 9 1976 the youngest of four children. Her parents a dental surgeon and teacher recognized and encouraged her passion for acting and theatre as early as she was a child. This was more important than a desire to become a primatologist thanks to her love of monkeys. Her rise to fame as an actress in her early years was rapid and accompanied by her early successes. It was only in 1999 after which she began acting professionally. Following her studies Tautou participated in the French television show for talent scouting called Jeunes Premiers. Tautou was raised in an Catholic home and went to religious services, despite having went to school at school at the Institut Catholique de Paris. Along with her acting career, she pursued a modeling career. It is her turn to be the spokesperson for L'Oreal Mont Blanc & Chanel and is sometimes referred to as the Chanel Muse. Recently, at Arles Arts Festival, Arles Arts Festival she exhibited a collection of photographs under the title Superficial. She focuses her photography on celebrities, fame and the media who scrutinized her following her emergence on the scene as Amelie. Also, she has a number of photographs featuring her self. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom and global fame after her first major role starring in the role of The Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Pouulain. Amelie was an international box-office film that received acclaim at awards galas around the world. Amelie is the most successful French language movie in the US. Following the release of this film, Tautou starred in many films that ranged from British dramas and Jean Pierre Jeunet's Un long dimanche de fiancailles. After that, she shifted to Hollywood and starred with Tom Hanks alongside Ron Howard in The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown.
